He described the movement of imported steel, mainly Turkish, as very weak, confirming that the rise in global steel prices and higher prices for scrap and billet making imported steel is a competitor of the locally produced iron, prompting importers to the reluctance to conclude new contracts with the factories of Turkey.

And indicating that the new lines, which obtained licenses from the Ministry of Commerce several months ago did not enter the production stage yet but is expected to raise its production during 2011, which helps to increase the supply in the market.
